welcome back. i am stan stovall. >> and i'm mindy basara. thank you for joining us this morning. let's get a check on weather and traffic. it is raining. >> it will slow things down. give yourself some extra time. keep a jacket and an umbrella with you. we will be in the 60's today. we can see moderate to heavy rain represented by the oranges and yellow. give yourself as much extra time as you can. we'll have periods of rain. there could be some breaks. high temperatures in the upper 60's and maybe do the low 70's if we are lucky. we will check the seven-day forecast coming up in just a few minutes. we will check on when things will clear up. >> we have a couple of accidents just in. eastbound 70 is a busy road. we have an accident reported past route 29. watch for delays there.

westbound 100, the ramp from snowden river parkway has now been reopened. we're dealing with a new crash northbound on to 95 near 100. another spot where you could find some slow going. delays on the north side. it will be a slick start. nothing significant on the beltway. still moving pretty good on 95. 11 minutes on the outer loop northeast side. nine minutes on the inner loop from 795 towards 83. no delays as a result of that accident. we will let you know how that evolves. 95 southbound and a little bit of a delay there. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the first casino will open in cecil county a few days earlier

than expected. kim dacey joins us with more on the story. >> maryland banned slots in the 1960's. hollywood casino cut the official word last night it will become the first maryland slots casino since a referendum was approved in 2008. hollywood casino got the ok after a trial run winds well saturday night. the casino has 1500 slot machines. you can experience something similar to table games. >> i am excited and all the staff is as well. all of our cast members are smiling from ear to ear. >> officials hope to help the economy in maryland. this casino has created 350 jobs. tony nylander has to commute from north east to a casino in

rhode island. >> i have a 2-year-old and we have been for about eight years. it is great aunt to hear the little guy yelled daddy. >> the casino is opening three days earlier thanks to construction. officials wanted to expedite this process so maryland could compete with casinos in bordering states. other locations hoped to fall in hollywood's footsteps. the casino will open its doors at 8:00 a.m. this morning. >> a patient has been charged with the murder of a fellow patient. investigators say a nurse found susan sachs with a string around her neck. saladin taylor is charged in that strangulation. teller was criminally responsible for a killer in

baltimore city. susan sachs killed a social worker. a woman isn't shock trauma after she was shot during a domestic dispute. this was just before 4:00 p.m. on sunday afternoon. there is no word on their condition. police said she suffered wo unds considered non-life- threatening . >> there was a motorcycle crash around 2:00 a.m. sunday morning. the motorcycle slid into a utility pole. the biker, matthew cavey, was killed. a white supremacist will appear before a judge before sentencing. the man pleaded guilty to armed carjacking and a hate crime. prosecutors say he and two others attacked a man while he

was fishing in south baltimore because he was african american. he is expected to address the court on sensate on how his life has changed since the attack. >> it is expected the judge will impose the sentence at the time of the play, 30 years for the armed carjacking, 25 years concurrent for a first degree of assaults. >> the trial for a co-defendant is set to begin today and the case for the third defendant was moved to juvenile court. >> the pastor of a mega church addressed his convocation yesterday amid allegations of sexual conduct. the bishop said he will fight teenage boyswured into sexual relationships. lon saysg heeddie

let's check your morning commute. we have some weather-related problems. right now we're dealing with a new accident on the outer loop just past 795. a vehicle spun out and is facing the wrong direction. there is an accident at reisterstown road. we also have a crash eastbound on 70 past 29. northbound 295, another accident location. several of them to watch for. we have faced -- speeds are down this morning. 50 miles per hour on 95 from the northeast. 70 is still moving well despite the accident. it is off to the side perhaps perry is down 70 past 29. this is the white marsh area. this is southbound traffic and still moving pretty well but deftly building in volume.
